I have built up the Lync infrastructure in my sandbox environment, now I want to integrate it with my existing Exchange/Outlook in the production environment. The integration means: presence, online meeting, sharing of the calendar info between Exchange/Outlook and Lync.
It turns out to be pretty easy, just simply make the two accounts have the same email address in the AD account properties. And that’s all you need to do!!
Is it the upn you are refering to when you say “the AD Account properties” ?
No, just the one in the general tab email property (if I remember correctly).
how you mean? add the account from the sanboxex domain? ” two accounts have the same email address in the AD account properties. ” can you explain it little more??
Sure. Here is a example:
– In domain A, the account is user@A.local, email address is user@company.com
– In domain B, the account is user@B.local, email address is user@company.com
When the user logins into Lync /w user@B.local account and Outlook /w user@A.local on the same computer. Lync is able to integrate with Outlook, such as showing the users’ Lync status in Outlook, showing users’ Outlook calendar availability in Lync.
if then have 2 email from to different domain then that?
i whant a user to use lync from another domain and ,it fine but i get outlook account is not the same as UC. where should i put the email adress
regards
Tommy
Simply speaking, the Lync user’s Email address has to be the same as the Outlook user’s if you want to integrate them. Otherwise, as far as I can see it won’t work.
Ok Jackie
Thanks!
