This issue can occur if you are using:
- Hardware that is not listed in the VMware Hardware Compatibility Guide
- A corrupt ESXi 5.0 installation file supplied by a vendor
- A vendor-provided USB drive or CD/DVD media that is faulty

if you only quote the vmware-article, that nobody helps you don’t publish a Blog…
1. Download ESXi-Customizer.
2. SATA Controller (sata-xahci-1.10-1.x86_64.vib) and check in your MB Sata controller is AHCI selected.
3. Make the customize Image file using ESXi-Customizer.
4. Make it as Bootable.
