Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 21, 2026

Overview

AWS What’s New (“the App”) is a mobile application that displays publicly available announcements from the AWS What’s New page. The App is designed with privacy in mind — it does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

Data Collection

The App does not collect any personal information. Specifically:

  • No personal data is collected
  • No usage analytics or tracking
  • No cookies or advertising identifiers
  • No third-party analytics SDKs
  • No user accounts or authentication
  • No location data

Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device only:

  • News feed cache — Announcements fetched from the public AWS RSS feed are cached on your device for offline viewing
  • Read/unread state — A record of which articles you have opened is stored on your device
  • Preferences — Your chosen theme and cache duration settings are stored on your device

No data is stored on any server. No data leaves your device.

Network Requests

The App makes network requests solely to fetch the public AWS What’s New RSS feed:

https://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/whats-new/recent/feed/

No personal information is included in these requests. No other network requests are made.

Third-Party Services

The App does not use any third-party services, SDKs, or APIs beyond fetching the publicly available AWS RSS feed.

Children’s Privacy

The App does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
